I’m working mostly on copy desk this summer, but I recently went to my editor about doing some multimedia pieces. Once he said yes, I immediately began researching some of the websites for the paper’s other publications. I took note of what was going on in the community and started googling some of the things I found to gain more knowledge about them. Once I compiled a list of possible video/story ideas, I went to the features editor – who’s over many of the sites – and shared with him what I’d come up with. He loved my ideas and said I could get started right away. I can’t wait.
