An internship in photos: Diego James Robles, CQS ‘08

Diego James Robles is an intern at The Orange County Register in California. He was a Summer 2008 Chips Quinn Scholar for the Rochester (N.Y.) Democrat and Chronicle. He discovered his passion for photojournalism while serving with the U.S. Army in Kosovo. He then enrolled in Ohio University’s School of Visual Communication and has been the photo editor of Athena Yearbook and Southeast Ohio magazine, and a staff photographer for The Post. He is president of the OU chapter of the National Press Photographers Association. He has worked for The Athens (Ohio) News and currently is doing work for The Athens (Ohio) Messenger. Robles is chief photographer for “Gridiron Glory,” a high school football television show and “Hardwood Heroes,” a Web site about high school basketball. He was an intern with El Deber: Diario Mayor in Bolivia (summer 2007).
