VERMILLION, S.D. – On a busy corner downtown, the Coffee Shop Gallery offers a unique setting for customers. It’s walls display local artwork year-round in the cozy café.
Monday regulars Jess Dennis, 80, and Max Brown, 88, of Yankton, S.D., say they come to the shop because “it’s kind of a unique place, this coffee gallery. They’ve got really good coffee here.”
Patrons are welcome to sit and talk, or listen to the busy atmosphere around them as they drink coffee. “You meet all kinds of people. They just come in here to hang out, you know?” says barista Kevin Haugan, 21, Minnesota.

Annie and Denny,
Coffee, coffee, coffee!
Nice portrait of a cozy local business, random crazy people and all.
Nice bookending with the sounds of the door. I like the way you used dialogue. I have to steal that technique!

I really love this soundslide. I went here the day before we did the soundslides and after I watched this, it made me appreciate it more and see things I didn’t see before. You guys did a great job!
